Clean Technology Innovation Starts Here
Welcome to the Coachella Valley iHub, comprised of the Cities of Palm Springs, Cathedral City and Desert Hot Springs. Coachella Valley iHub works to provide a wide variety of programs, services and incentives to start-up businesses focused on creating and developing clean technology. Clean technology may encompass the fields of solar energy, wind power, geothermal and smart grid technologies, as well as green building materials and techniques, biofuels/biomaterials, and water filtration and conservation technologies.
| The Coachella Valley is a place of extraordinary beauty and natural wonder, conducive to a welcoming and productive business environment. University of California, California State University, College of the Desert and a wide variety of research and private education and training resources and connections are readily available. | The Coachella Valley is also one of the fastest-growing areas in the country with nearly 600,000 people. The region is one of only three ideal places in California for steady, wind-generated electricity. Over 34 large solar projects have been proposed totaling approximately 24,000 megawatts. |
